Taking a holiday is very important if you need to relax and recuperate after working. Not only that, but it provides you with the time to experience something new, or go on an adventure. It can be a great time to consider catching up with friends or other loved ones as well, especially for those who have busy work-lives that often get in the way of these types of things.

Of course, each person has different travel needs. These needs tend to revolve around the specific life stage or family situation. Couples, singles or families with children all have different needs. However, for those with children, it can be a good idea to separate the adults-only experiences from the main family holidays. This way everyone gets to have some fun and fully enjoy their time together.

Why Adults-Only Holidays Are on the Rise

In recent years, adult-only holidays have gained a lot in popularity. This for a variety of reasons, but more and more people are enjoying being away from the noise that is their children. For many adults, their day-to-day lives revolve around children, so getting some time to themselves is a well-deserved break. More parents and adults are enjoying this type of holiday too, with travel agents seeing an increase in demand for child-free breaks.

A lot of this means travellers looking for child-free hotels, adult-only cruises and specialised resorts or boutique hotels. This means that they can enjoy areas and trips where no children, their’s or anyone else’s, can be found. With this in mind, there are a growing number of adult-only options including Warner Leisure Hotels, Sandals Resorts and Viking Cruises. All of which make it easy to find options without children. Even airlines are jumping on board, with Japan Airlines providing passengers the option to select seats away from children.

Now, some of these options can be pricey, especially when staying in specialised or boutique hotels. Luckily, options like Warner Leisure Hotels make it increasingly easy to get good deals and discounts. Much of this is through discount codes which can really knock a lot off a price. Better still, these regular Warner Leisure Hotels discount codes and promotions can be easily found on Discoup, a reliable voucher codes platform. As such, adult-only holidays and stays in boutique hotels becomes even easier. This way travellers don’t have to forgo the delight of having some alone time because of trips being too expensive. And, not only are these trips child-free, but increasingly they are luxurious and personalised as well.

For instance, many of these more specialised hotels offer relaxing daytime activities. This can include cooking courses or wine-tasting. Some even offer higher-level experiences such as cocktail making or themed nights with fun dinners. These lend themselves to options such as fancy cuisine, something that would not be possible when bringing children along. Not only that, but it means the restaurants are quieter and often utilise local ingredients and cuisines for the more discerning travellers. Reduced capacities and longer opening hours and bigger gaps between tables all serve to ensure that guests have more space and privacy. This is especially key for those looking to get some quality time together without kids interrupting them at every turn. All this allows a bit of romance to blossom between couples. And for those without kids but want to avoid them, these types of adult-only trips mean that holidays are quiet.

The Future of Adults-Only Travel

These days, in the increasingly busy world, more travellers are prioritising child-free holidays. Part of this is to do with just getting away and having time to oneself. But it’s also increasingly common for travellers to look for more luxurious experiences in order to treat themselves. On top of this, experience-driven holidays are becoming the norm, with more people looking to find something different and exciting to try out.

The trend for child-free holidays is also likely to continue. It’s been gaining momentum in recent years as it is, and with more people choosing not to have children, the market is continuing to grow. More and more companies are responding to this need too. As such, an increasing number of companies offer these tailored trips, allowing travellers to personalise exactly what they want, and make it fully adult-centric.
